Don Carter is a contemporary abstract artist based in the UK.

Before returning to art full-time, Don spent more than two decades working in the creative industry, founding and running his own design and advertising agency. Creativity has always been at the centre of his life, but in recent years painting has become his primary focus.

His work explores texture, colour and atmosphere through a process of reduction rather than addition. Inspired by weathered surfaces, natural materials and the beauty of imperfection, each piece develops slowly through layering, editing and refinement.

Rather than directing the viewer towards a fixed interpretation, Don creates work that invites personal connection. The result is a collection of contemporary abstract pieces designed to bring depth, calm and character into modern interiors.
